Season Five Films is an independent production company based in Texas, that is passionate about telling stories through film. We specialize in narrative-driven projects, including feature films, music videos, documentaries, and commercials. We strive to create innovative and high-quality work with a focus on visuals, sound, and storytelling. Our believe is that film is the most powerful medium for conveying emotion and communicating ideas, and our goal is to help bring our visions to life on the silver screen.
Derek Franzese
CO-FOUNDER / PARTNER
Derek Franzese is a director and an assistant director in film, tv and commercials based in Austin, TX. Derek's love for filmmaking began in his pre-teens in Cleveland, Ohio at a single screen theatre. His father then cultivated this love by introducing him to the works of Fellini, Kurosawa, and other masters from overseas.
Over the past decade, he has worked as an assistant director on dozens of films, on 3 continents, from 200 million dollar projects to those in the hundreds of thousands. He has also directed episodes of series on Hulu and with Rooster Teeth.
His first short film, "Into Memory," played in festivals all over the USA and can be found on Amazon Prime for free.
Christopher Dick
CO-FOUNDER / PARTNER
Chris Dick is a Vice President of Design & Partner at the leading AI company Hypergiant and a longtime Austin TX design presence. Chris' background in graphic design, branding, motion design, visual effects design, and illustration, spans two decades at multiple successful start-ups.
Over the past view years he has created many award winning projects in video and visual marketing, including the Hypergiant Branded Commercial "A Better World" featuring Bill Nye the Science Guy, that won 4 Telly Awards and was nominated for a Lone star Emmy in 2020.
Chris is a co-founder of the production company Season Five Films with Derek Franzese.
